I’m the Ghost Girl who thinks too much.
My best thoughts come at 2 AM. I cannot keep my mouth shut and that often gets me into trouble.
I grew up in a highly conservative Christian religion—a cult, for all intents and purposes. Then I escaped and became an atheist. Then an agnostic. Then I fell down a rabbit hole and now I’m a witch.
Somewhere along the way, I became obsessed with the liminal: what is between truth and perception? What is between our authentic faces and the masks we all wear?
Do you notice the fake smiles behind eyes? The laugh that is a little bit too loud? The small feeling in your gut that tells you something is off but you aren’t sure why?
That’s the thing about being a ghost. I float around noticing all these things and once you start, it gets hard to stop noticing.
The patterns are everywhere you look. Do you notice them too? How everything is connected?
You see the patterns in religion, witchcraft, stories, music, ads, propaganda, social media. The symbols we choose—but what about the symbols that are chosen for us? The ways we are pushed and pulled and we don’t even realize?
Sometimes I think we are all playing a giant game we don’t know the rules of.
I can’t stop looking.
I’m interested in the nature of reality, consciousness, symbols, hidden patterns, meaning, human behavior and all the little signals underneath our boring, mundane lives. The little things that are designed to make us feel something before we even know why.
I believe all the unseen patterns leave evidence. I document that evidence.
If you have ever thought to yourself, “Wait a minute…is anyone else seeing this?”
I probably do.
All 2 AM thoughts are welcome here.
